At the End of Slavery

One way to make a stand against modern-day slavery is to educate your family and friends about the reality and unprecedented existence of human trafficking.

When we set out to educate those in our community, we found that hosting a screening was a very efficient and effective way to not only educate, but also get people connected and involved in the abolitionist movement. We held a screening of Not for Sale, produced by the Not for Sale Campaign and had great success. Photos of the event are on our Facebook page. We were able to raise almost $500 by asking for a $5 donation at the door, and also provided a product table that sold items made by rescued trafficking victims.

IJM has released a documentary called At the End of Slavery, narrated by Danny Glover, and it will be a great resource for those who would like to host a screening. The kit is only $15, and includes two copies of the documentary, as well as materials to help you plan and execute a successful event. You can order the kit here, and visit attheendofslavery.com for more information.

Education, followed by connection and involvement with the cause can help us all have a part of stopping slavery here.
